Azawakh
The Azawakh is an ancient breed of greyhounds from the Sahara Desert that differs from the Greyhound. O’Neill says that people often perceive them as alienated or detached, but that they are actually quite sincere and caring if they have one. Azawakhs used to hunt deer in the Sahara Desert, but today they prefer to run with their people on the sidewalks rather than on the sand. Despite the long history of the Azawakh on earth, they were officially acknowledged as an AKC breed in the group of hunting dogs in 2019.
