The old English sheepdog is another bear dog. This large breed can weigh up to 100 pounds and reach two feet in height. These dogs were previously known as Shepherd’s dogs because they helped protect sheep. They came from the crossing of the first sheepdogs. They come from England.
This breed is known for its numerous appearances in the cinema, playing the main role in the original film Shaggy Dog in 1959. In 2006, the film even had a remake with a different race, with Tim Allen as the main actor alongside a bearded Collie named cole.
The ancient English shepherd is used to help farmers raise cattle and sheep in the market. Now this playful dog is best known for its white and gray fur. It is a sociable dog, very adaptable and playful. They have a life expectancy of up to twelve years.
